I have a new 530i loaded with Navigation. My dealer says the satellite radio, RDS and bluetooth phone options are not available with navigation. The dealer says they conflict. I find this incredibly hard to believe considering most of the luxury competitors have all of these options available. I understand the idrive is more complicated but come on.....they should be able to fix it on a $60K car. Is anyone else having these conflicts or any info on when it will be fixed? Adding these seemingly easy to add conveniences would truly make this car the "Ultimate Driving Machine" in my opinion.

I own a 545 and all the problems you talk about are well known. For once the dealer is correct. For MY 2004, if you have NAV, no Sirius available, though this is supposedly fixed for MY 2005 and a fix will be available for 2004 cars in October. As for RDS, version 12 of the software used has a bug that has caused BMW to disable RDS until a later version can resolve it. Supposedly version 13 due soon will fix it. I have a pre-version 12 car (Jan 04 build) and my RDS functions fine, but I don't have NAV. As for Bluetooth, it has had a whole host of issues I don't believe it has ever functioned properly in the US, though European owners say theirs work fine. Again, a fix is promised for later this year...
