my newbielike instincts tell me this this is possible with other mods, but my question is can i just pull out my stock 16's and throw on 18's?

the reason i ask is, someone offering to sell a set of 18" EURO M5 STYLE RIMS for $500.

They are used, but look to be in pretty good shape.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Also if anyone can recommend some tires; I've been pretty happy with the stock Contientals, they seem to be pretty nice, but is there something better?

Thanks

there is always better as far as tires go =]
um u can't just "throw em on" u have to check
the offset. 18's will look awesome and they are
+2 so u shouldn't have any suspension trouble.
if they're use have a good shop check them out
u dont' want a wheel that's been bent or is damage
structurally. Speelling? lol

you may be able to simply swap the 18s for the 16s. depends on a few things though. if you give me the exactg width and offset of the wheels i can give you a definitive answer. real M5 wheels require M5 rear fender liners because of rubbing issues. offsets won't be a problem i suspect since these wheels are 99% made for our cars. should be +12, +16, or +20 or something in there depending on a number of factors. this is a tricky subject and exact numbers are imperative. also tire size will need to be considered. i'm here to help i just need some info to do my best.

about tires: i've run several different tires and sizes on my car. the toyo proxes T1s is a pretty solid tire performance wise. better yet is michelin pilot sports and bridgestone potenza SO3s but come with a higher price tag. check out tirerack.com and its easy to compare tires in your price range and desired performance.
