1989 325is boost

Is it fine to boost my 325is with any other north american cars battery??

.....boosting the existing BMW battery with a Toyota Celica for example.

You mean in addition to or in replace of the existing battery?

It shouldn't hurt anything, but if your battery is bad I'd replace it soon. Also, you should check your alternator.
