1989 525I Good deal?

I have an opportunity to buy an '89 525I from original owner. 80K miles super clean interior, hardly driven. Sometime the sunny day drivers are a ticking bomb. Guy wants 5K. Any suggestions?

Sounds a little high, BUT, if it's had maintainence every second it needed it, definitely go for it.

BTW If it's automatic, don't waste your time - You'll put $3000 into the tranny in the next 2 years.

NADA values the car between $3800 and $5900. If it as clean as you say and in good mechanical condition price sounds right to me. Have it inspected.
