I recently bought an old 5 series which is now looking great and running sweet, however its hot outside and I can't get any air to flow even with all the vents wide open and the fan on max.
I was told that I needed to take the glovebox out and wack in a new pollen filter to solve the problem. So I duly went down to halfords (Uk parts store) and explained the situation where they sold me what I would call an engine air filter (large rectangular filter - HAF303). After removing the glovebox there was no obvious place to slide the filter in...
In summary, its summer, I want cold air and I can't get anything more than a trickle, the air con fanbelt has been replaced so it must the pollen filter??
Is this right and if so how do I replace it?
Any help could save my summer...
