2 questions ordering M3

I went to my dealer about a month ago to order a 2004 M3 and he said it would take 2 months for delivery - is that because they dont have any in stock or is that a regular wait time for an M3?

He told me the 2005 M3s come in october. so if i wait for october and order then will i have to wait less like a week or 2 to get my M3? Thanks

I am getting mixed reviews on the 2005 being a "new" m3..

as far as the time goes your M3 is going to have to be build.. no other way around it unless it is coming from another dealer.

Dealer down here says there will not be a new M3 untill 2006 but who knows... he may be wrong

October is typical to start seeing the new models, as for the 2 month wait - that too, is typical. What dont you understand ?

I would wait till Oct...also, the revised M3 wheel may be the CSL M3 wheel, which look very sharp !

Unless you get a hefty discount, go for the new model year imo.

zeratul, the 2005 has a new package called the club sport package, there's a thread about it somewhere I think

2004 M3 will have cheaper insurance (not by much), and BMW has already been working on the 04 kinks. 05, you are gonna hit them face on.
