1ST...I was able to hit 154 mph last night.....haulin' some major ASS[bmwdance]
2nd...Are 20in rims going to seriously mess up my ride comfort? The guy at the tuning shop says no...but 20's? how much rubber am I going to have. No doubt the rims look hot...but?
most common 20" tire size for our cars is 275/30/20. its one big assed tire. it will make the ride more jarring. the thing is, it is completely subjective. i've always had lowering springs and larger than factory wheels so i'm used to it and like the feeling of the road. i think your active suspension E60 will handle it better than an E39. i would not get 20s for my car. 19s i think are the perfect looking size. and keep in mind the price of tires too.
going from 17s/18s to 20s will be a bone jarring experience, but you'll get used to it.
no kidding ...as for ride comfort ...poor brakes, at that price you will hitting the brakes everytime you see a pot whole so that you don't damage them! Not much rubber separating the rim from the road!
