2001 Instrument Cluster Removal

I have a 2001 528i and am considering the purchase of some chrome rings for the Speedometer, Tach, Fuel & Temp gauges. Has anyone done this? How difficult a job is this? The pics of the completed job look very nice. These are available on eBay and state that it is a simple install. I have real concerns with pulling the instrument cluster. All comments welcome, Thanks. [???1]

I have an '83 528e that I pulled the insturment cluster out of today. I undid the cover below the steering wheel and moved it out of the way. I then pulled the wheel as far forward as it would go. On my car there are three screws on the edge of the guage cluster that hold it to the dash. I removed these and with a little wiggling I was able to get the cluster out without removing the steering wheel.
