Not the best, I think it's pretty good though, good for older rich people, not the best for teenagers looking for fun though in my opinion, I think Pavel will back me up on that too, we have similar taste in cars.

The LS430 is not a new design. It has been on the market since 2001 or so. It is also a blatant copy of the MB S-class, as was the original Lexus LS. It does represent good value in the luxury sedan class, and has a lot of luxury features, but it doesn't excite me.

The IS 430 is what I am waiting to see.

brahtw8, if you look carefully, the nose was redone for 2004. It has a more purposeful look.
Speaking of the S-Class, I am on my way to the Benz dealership in just a bit to order two S500 4Matic's for the parents. [:D] [:D]

Not much of a redesign, IMHO, more of a 'freshening'.

The 4matic Benzos are nice. My buddy with the S4 is thinking about one in the future, if he doesn't get a 996 C4S or TT, or another Audi.

How about a little variety for the 'rents? Two of the same car seems boring. At least they will be different colors, right?

I do the car dealings for my parents because my dad doesn't like to do it. Also, I know the owners of our local Benz dealership, so I get taken care of there. My dad drives the 2001 E430 4Matic and my drives the 2001 S500. My dad likes the new E-Class, but right now they don't have navigation system or 4Matic AWD (for the NJ snow). The 2004 E class Benz's will get navigation and 4Matic AWD, but he likes the S500 a lot more anyways because of the bigger room.
I dropped off the info at the dealership this afternoon, as my salesman was busy. He pulled a brand-new Maybach up front (I got to see inside it and everything) because Channel 10 News (whatever news that is) was doing a story on it. Mom is gonna get Midnight Blue Metallic, Dad is gonna get Brilliant Silver Metallic and they are going to be leased.

That's a REAL boring design. You can barely tell any changes from the original. It's basically a box. The interior looks good, but the outside is still snooze inducing.

That said, I'm starting to wish we got that car instead of the E class. Least the ride would be super smooth and everything would feel luxurious. The E looks gorgeous, but they really skimped on the materials used both inside and out.

The Maybach was really sweet. The styling is really really quiet, though. The back end doesn't make the statement of a $300K car, but the front of the car SCREAMS pimp daddy. The interior is insanely nice as well.
I really dig the new E-Class. I don't know what it is about my dad, he used to be a true driver, he used to whip all stick shift BMW's back in the day, but now he tries to act so freaking old...he only likes the boring Benz's, and he's only 46, he shouldn't act so old. I keep trying to convince for S55 or E55 or SOMETHING hot...they don't even want the Sport Package for the S500 it drives me crazy !! [?|]
