I picked up the July 2005 issue of Sports Car International Magazine, and they reviewed the BMW M3 Competition Package on page 20. Anyways, they stated how all 2005 M3 models received an updated suspension - and both regular and Competition Package models share the same suspension for 2005. Basically, the article states that BMW wanted to get rid of some understeer so they softened up the front roll stiffness level. This does get rid of understeer, but the magazine commented that it made for too much body roll on the track during tight left-right-left combination turns.
That's about it, I just wanted to post this because I know a lot of people are under the impression you get a different suspension with the M3 Competition Package, but apparently all 2005 models receive the same revised suspension.
The article is not available online at the moment, but perhaps it will be at a later time.
Thanks,
