I'm looking at leasing a new car and am torn between the 2006 A4 quattro (manual) and the 2006 330xi (manual.) Can anyone give me an opinion on either of these cars? Biggest concern on the xi is that it drives a bit sluggish and may not have as sharp an all-wheel drive as the Audi...

The A4 will obviously cost you a lot less, and the Audi Quattro system is about as good as it gets in AWD technology. My recommendation is to test drive both cars, and see which one you like better from the perspectives of performance as well as looks. If evrything else is equal, see which Dealer is willing to give you the best deal. Bottom line is that you can't go wrong with either car. I've driven the A4 turbo, and that's a neat little car that you can buy for a little over $30K, decently eqquipped. It may be a tad slower than the 330, but it's certainly not sluggish.

I am assuming you are looking at an Audi A4 2.0T Quattro 6-speed vs the BMW 330xi 6-Speed as the A4 3.2 is not offered with a manual transmission. I think if you want a better-performing vehicle, go with the BMW. If you want to save $$$ and don't feel the need for a faster car, the A4 2.0T Quattro is great.
