Will these fit my 1991 525i?:

front - 245/45/18 Yokohama AVS Sport on a 18x9 rim
rear - 275/35/18 Yokohama AVS Sport on a 18x9 rim

A buddy is selling this combo from his 1996 540i for $1300CDN. Thanks in advance.

Hey Heezyo2o!

I may be able to score a set of M3 17x8 rims and 235/40/17 Nittos for free from a buddy in Houston. He's coming down (I live in Toronto) next week with them but wants to make sure they fit on my 1991 525i. Do you think they will fit? I am assuming they look like these:

If they fit how much of a drop would you recommend? A 2" drop or 1 1/4?

Why recommend against 18" wheels on an e34? Bent rims, any other problems? Are bent wheels common, and if so, is it preventable with 18s. Also why do problems that arise with 18s not occur with 17s. Thanks

18's are too heavy
18's are too big, your tire would be like painted on rubber
worst ride quality ever and chances are you'll bend your
wheels quite often

i have 235/17 front and 255/17 rear on stock suspension (i'm saving up for that lol)
and it was rubbing with 3 passengers in the back. perhaps my stock
springs are a bit tired, but there just isn't room for 275 back there unless u get
some crazy offset

oh yeah i forgot , 275 on a 9" wide wheel?!!? i've got 9.5" up front and my 235mm tire is
already a bit big on it...i haven't seen it done and i'd be surprised if u got it to work =]
