Help! anybody out there know the steps to change the oil pan on a 325 IC?

I am using a "Bently's" and got the pan loose but cannot understand how to get to to the oil pump retaining bolts that are supposed to be removed befor the pan can come out. The pan does not drop far at the point I have gotted to......according to the Bently's .. I am now supposed to remove three pump retaining bolts, lower the pump into the pan and then I should be able to remove the pan...... [?|]

My daughter borrowed the car and cracked the old oil pan somehow ... at least she stopped bevfore the last drop of oil flowed out....

unbolt the motor mounts and maybe the exhaust and jack up the engine carefully about 4-5 inches, then it will come out. ony my 944, that wasnt an option, you had to either drop the entire front suspension and crossmember, or take out the engine completely....................... can you say bullsht?

Yup ben's right. You have to jack up the engine itself a few inches which should give you enough clearance. I believe bently tells you to remove the engine for this repair - which that is not necessary.
