[welcome]

A few people here have them. I think it looks so hot that it is worth the trouble. Someone also has the garage lift and it looks easy to remove and put back on. Someone that knows more will probably be along shortly I just wanted to say that I think the cic with the hard top option is one of the coolest looking cars around.

The pictures in my sig have the hardtop on the car. We love the hardtop - it's like getting a new car every 6 months lol. Every time I take it to the dealer for service with the hardtop on the SA tells me everyone gawks over it, including BMW employees, because there are not many around. When I picked it up on Euro delivery, the manager of the ED center complimented me on the hardtop, and he obviously sees plenty of bimmers all the time.

It only weighs about 75 lbs., two people can lift it on/off. Storage is the bigger concern since it takes a about a 5 foot by 6 foot area. I found the hardtop hoist company which was perfect. It stores it safely hanging from the ceiling and makes it easy to install/remove.

Here's a thread with photos:

Yeah, I've seen pictures of the removable hardtop on an M3 Convertible and it gives it a really great, unique look. The only thing is, if I ever have a convertible, I'd be driving it with the top down A LOT (during the winter, too). 40+ degrees outside temperature is drop-top weather for me, which almost eliminates the need for the hard-top during the winter.
