Hello all,

I have a 03' 330xi and I would like to get M3 performance and handling from my 330xi. The AWD thing is kind of important in Alaska and I like grip on the road. My 99' M3 is faster and better handling, but I always think if I had AWD on my M3 it would be better. I maybe wrong, but thats what these forums are for.
Any comments would be great.

BTW I don't want a S4, STI ,or EVO.

start with suspension, big time suspension. the xi is raised like .9" over the standard 330i, once you get that covered then focus on power. but the suspension will make a world of difference.

engine swap on a car that new would kind of be a waste, unless you could sell your old motor for a lot. the 3.0 is big enough to have some fun with intake, full exhaust maybe (including headers) maybe even an s/c if you are getting that serious. but the suspension will make a world of difference on that car.

I dont think you can use the M3 suspension setup since the weight variation may be an issue. You're better off going aftermarket with brands like Dinan. It's cheaper and offers better handling.

You should also consider getting a chip, exhaust, and intake to bump the HP up a bit.

If you want to go stock, the M-tuned suspension for the 330 ZHP (performance package) may fit your 330xi. How about Bilstein's PSS9 coilover kit? Do they have an application that fits the 330xi?
