5 Series Wheel Corrosion - Please Help!

I have a 4 year old 530i with the sport package. This came with a two piece web design wheel. I have notices that the wheel are starting to corrode where the two pieces come together. I have taken great care of the car and always get it washed after a snow strom to get the salt off.

Has anyone else experinced this problem. The way I look at it, if you spend $45K for a car, the wheel better not corrode if you take care of them.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Haven't noticed what I would call corrosion but do get dark spots on the smooth service near where the two pieces join. Also it seems like little half inch worm-like pieces of glue on the wheel {if that makes any sense} Have not been able to pollish them out altogether but I am probably the only one to notice. This is only on one wheel out of the four that seems worse than the others, don't know?

Thanks! What you mentioned about the worm-like pieces does make sense - although I have them on all four wheels. I also cannot get the wheels polished anymore and when I try, more of the surface peels off where the two pieces meet. I have an appointment at the BMW dealer to have them look at the wheels - but I am guessing that they will most likely tell me that it must have been the chemicals that the car wash uses.
