I am currently in the process of converting my 1989 325is into a 5spd. The reason I am on the 5-series boards is because I have a question I hope someone here can answer. I know of someone who is selling a 1983 528 because the clutch went out. My quesion is: Will the trannsmission, flywheel, (I have to buy a new clutch), and cylinders (master, slave) work in my 325? I ask because I hear the engine is very similar to the one used in the 325is. Thanks for the help...BTW I know I will need a new drive shaft from an E30, but this 5 is selling for dirt cheap-like the same price as the tranny itself. If it helps, the 325's manual is a getrag 260. If all else fails, I wil buy the 3 series drivetrain like I originally intended. Thank You.
