530i with sport package advice

Im in the process of trading in my 2002 330xi with 42000 mi. for a new 2004 530i with sport and premium packages. I have to admit that I've never loved a car so much as my 330xi. Naturally I have reservations about making this quantum leap and would like to hear from those of you who have have done the same. Please give unbiased info both pro and con.

AWSOME cars, iDrive problems out the ass (at least for me) I am trying to get mine replaced using the "Lemon Law". The cars ride and handle like nothing you have driven. I just want one without the iDrive issues. I say go for it.

What kind of luck have you had with the sport package chewing up tires?

I have had no issues with chewing up tires and I drive at speeds well over 130mph regularly. Good investment.

I have a 2004 530i with sport package and premium package. I have had 2 rear tires replaced after driving 12,000 miles because they were ripped to shreds. Thankfully they were run-flats. BMW did replace these 2 tires under warranty.
