Luv'n my 540i, but got some quirks. This is my first bmw so be kind for
my ignorance. When the weather gets below around 34 degrees, my
bmw runs like sh*t. It runs good in warm weather.
So here is my problem. I got it checked out and the check engine light
was on. Problems with the Oxygen sensors and the Mass air flow sensor,
I also am leary about the IAT, intake air temperature sensor.
I changed out the Oxygen sensors, gotta save money. and now
I'm ready to tackle the Mass Air Flow Sensor, but I'm concerned that
It may not be the MAF sensor that causes it to run rough. I'd hate to
spend $300 and find out that the MAF sensor wasn't the problem.
Other problem, don't have a friend in the middle of Oklahoma that
has a 540i to change out parts, and the electric check doesn't seem
to nail down the problem.
So, I'm looking for some help or past experiences to help me through
the wallet crunching experience I know I'm going to get hit with.
Other than this, I'm extremely please with my 540i, Can't even
imagine driving anything else, ie..... smaller engine!
