on the same thread....what was the most noticeable difference in performance of the X3 2.5 after the 1000-1200 break-in period was over?
I don't know about the 2.5 but I can tell you the most inportant change on my 3.0 is that the stick shift has become so much easier to use and is realy smooth now. I have 5400 on it now, and I realy can not tell you when I became aware of it, as I think it is a progressive thing. This is just one fine vehicle, and I am now looking forward to finding out how good it will be in the winter snow here in Steamboat Springs Colorado. The heating system on auto seems to be doing a great job so far, but I am anxious to see how it is when it drops off to -20 F deg. Happy driving, Chuck Abbott

You have a X3 3.0i in manual transmission? How is that treating you? I really like the X3 but I see it as a luxury SUV and luxury SUV + manual transmission just seems weird to me (as people consider automatic transmission a 'luxury'). Is the X3's manual easy to drive? Your thoughts in general are most appreciated.

I imagine it feels like a 330xi, but we'll let him reply [shake]

radio damage?

can someone explain what radio damage can result when using a CB or cellular telephone (not part of the BMW Prem Pkg) inside the vehicle? the warning is conspicuous, the inherent damage isn't...puzzling, isn't it? (more interested to know what anyone's experienced personally in this regard)
