I have an 87 528e automatic trans with an interesting problem. While driving home today from work, the hose running from thermostat to top of radiator came off. I thought it was just the clamp but what happened is the old plastic basically cracked free leaving the nozzle part from the top of the radior is the loose hose. I am now left with barely anything to clamp down on with the hose. Any Suggestions about the best way to repair this or rig it up or should I just replace the entire radiator?

I have included pics of the hose attached (barely) to the piece that is left here-->

if it's the original rad just replace it and enjoy peace of mind while driving
it's not that difficult and the old plastic side tanks begin to break down anyway in the old rad.
