To any and all,
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide, here is the event leading up to the current problem I’m experiencing.
Turned off the engine, filled tank, car would not start, turned over fine.
Towed home, realized fuel pump not working, check fuse #11 =good, check fuseable link (50 A)= good. Jumpered the pins on fuel pump relay, pump still didn’t power up. Did the next tests with the f/p relay in place and jumpered out. Removed connector to fuel pump checked for current with switch on and in the start position, no current. There is also no current on either side of fuse #11 in any switch position.
Also the owners manual and the repair manual does not explain or describe the relays that are located inside the fuse panel K1,K2 etc. can anyone tell me what these are?
This is my dad’s car and I’m just trying to help him out, I’m not very versed in BMW.
Thanks again,
Holtzy
