I just returned from a business trip to northern Italy. We spent a few extra days visting a few cities. Here's a few pictures:

Torino Egyptian Museum - Back in the early 1900s Italy pilaged and plundered Egypt

Bologna:
Parking is a terrible problem in old Bologna, but if you own the building you can park where you want!!!


Leaning Towers - While Pisa is known for it's leaning tower, there are TWO taller leaning towers in Bologna, one was actually shortened to prevent it from falling. The tall one is 300 feet.


Pontius Pilate's Basin - This basin, brought from Rome, is said to have been where Pontius Pilate literally and figuratively "washed his hands" after condeming Jesus to death.

Neptune's Fountain is a very famous bronze sculpture in the Piazza Maggiore. It created quite a controvery in 1566 when it was unveiled. You can see why:
