Adding Navigation to 2003 540

Does anybody know if it is possible to add a factory BMW Nav system to a 2003 540 if it did not come with it originally? I thought that I read somewhere that the 2003 models where already wired for navigation and your dealer could put a factory system in for you. I could be dreaming but any info would be great.
