Air Lock in cooling system

We recently drained the water from the cooling system on our E34 530i, but it has now developed an airlock which means the car is now overheating.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Is there a vent screw on the top of the radiator or thermostat housing?

yeah there is you saying i just need to undo this?

if so you wouldnt happen to know if it's left or right thread to undo would you?

With the car running open the vent screw until air starts to flow, leave it open until coolant begins to come out, close it. It should be standard threads, left to open, right to close.
