Aluminum Flywheel

Does anyone around here have an aluminum flywheel on their car? I'm going to be ordering one from Turner and wanted to know if anyone has past experience with 'em. Of all the people I've heard talk about them, I have heard nothing but good things. What do you think?

Can't answer your question, but are you buying a UUC flywheel? If so make ABSOLUTELY sure turner has it ON HAND - UUC takes forever to ship stuff and if you do a search on bimmerforums.com you'll see some people who've waited up to 8 months and only getting BS answers before they actually got it.

I've only heard lightened flywheels cause gear chatter. But I'm not sure if that's only on E46's.

you will love it. I have a 10lb flywheel on my E36 M3. Yes there is gear chatter only at idle sometimes. Engine revs much quicker. I love it.
