Hey guys, I just bought a 94 530i & I'm looking to tread it for a 97 M3.
The M3 looks good, but has 116,000 miles on it.
If I get this car I would like to add more HP via turbo or SC.
So, are the miles to high for me to work with?
It's priced at $12,990, is that a good deal?
I bought the 530i for $5,400, at the time this was all I had, now I have
more money, but I don't want to loss that much on the 530i.
I should be able to get between $5000 & $6000 for it, it's in really good
condition....
Anyway, any input would be helpfull, thanks.

Also where can I find good info on 97 M3 specs. I mean really get into
the engine specs. of the car.

Hi there, and welcome to the board. A new yorker I see =D. BMW make very well made engines, if you ask some of the members on the boards a lot of them have cars into 180k++ and their cars are running fine. With 116k miles im assuming the tranny would prolly need some work, as for 13k for a M3 I dont know.. it really depends on the condition of the car, but that would definitly be the price range ur looking for..

Another looks like a good deal to me reply...JK! Welcome. Like Matt has said a well cared for BMW motor can last into the 300k range, depends on care and how she was treated. Look her over well and have it inspected by a trusted mechanic. If the interior and body are good and the mechanic says the car needs little to nothing I'd buy it!
