Saw it last night and got to admit I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. What about everyone else?

I saw the second Matrix and it was one of the worst movies I saw in a long time. The tihng about this movie is eaither you love it or you hate it.. there is little middle ground.

They overused those stupid fight scenes in the second movie... and if you follow the trend most of the third movie was probably fighting.

I guess Matrix is just like Lord of the Rings... either you ARE in that stuff... or you hate it.

Saw "Runaway Jury" yesterday... now that was a good movie [thumb]

Saw it yesterday evening, and came to a conclusion that the best one was the first Matrix, cause it was different, had a lot of cool effects and stuff like that. In this one there r no new effects, and the script isn't as interesting as the first one...

I agree completely with push.
i saw the third and what he said is right, the third is just an extention of the second.
But, this movie probably had the best war scene ever!!! i was a well rounded fight with great effects, action, and spiced up with drama.

the thing about this movie that im most interested in now is the story line. im sitting there thinking i finally understood it all and realized i didnt. i'll have to watch the animatrix movies and do some research... there are so many hidden pretenses and undefined aspects that i find it almost impossible for those two brothers to have written this movie - alone!

I just saw the third Matrix last night. I am a huge fan of the first The Matrix. The second one didn't really impress me, although I have that on DVD along with the first Matrix. The third one was not very impressive, either. I do enjoy how they maintain a whole religious aspect throughout all three movies, however. I think The Matrix is just a much "cooler" version of Lord Of The Rings...not as well-executed, but still really cool.

I saw it a couple of days ago. I loved the first movie, liked the second and to be honest I am still have not made up my mind about the third. The problem is that if I tell you anything about the third, I will say way too much. My brother hated the 3rd movie. I have a good friend that really liked the third. I just read a review by someone else and I completely agree with his assessment - It was just like finishing a good book, glad to get to the end but disappointed to see it end.

Contains spoilers:

I really enjoyed it. I think the majority of people who didn't like it forget that Neo is a sort of "Christ" like figure. As long as you understand that, then it all makes perfect sense. Everything points to that. Agent Smith becomes sin, and when he dies sin goes away with it. Also, look at Neo when he's lying on the ground at the end. Look familiar? It's like he's on a cross. My friends had real trouble with the ending. They didn't like it. They thought it was left too open. Too many questions. I think it makes perfect sense. Neo died to save everyone else. He will live on at the same time, though.

Regarding the "to see it or not to see it (or at least wait until DVD)" question. If you really loved the first Matrix and you really care about the whole Matrix theme/story, then go see it. It wasn't a bad movie and it will make you very satisfied in the end. If you don't really care about The Matrix and you feel you can wait until it is out on DVD, then wait for it...there is nothing really mind-boggling ([:p]) about this third Matrix that demands everyone see it in theaters (as I felt the first Matrix did). Big Daddy, that 61" screen should be fine IF you can handle waiting. [:D]

Saw it in IMAX. Man, it's pretty intense that way. Was disappointed that there wasn't more cool hand to hand fight scenes. The Siege scene was pretty cool though. Overall, a pretty good film. The worst of the three definitely, but did a pretty good job of ending the story even if it was a bit confusing. Thought there was some serious religious connotations in it.
