i am getting ready to buy a 97 m3 that has 57k miles on it. are there any particular problems i should look for before purchasing this car? thanks in advance. oh yeah what's VANOS? i've been told that this may be a problem with e36 m3s
I've never heard of VANOS-related problems with the E36 M3. I owned a '99 (E36) M3 and had a pretty much flawless 45,000 miles on it. The only issue I ran into was faulty oxygen sensors (fixed under recall).
