Had a flat. Went in to have the same size tires put on new, (4), drove out and these lights stay on all the time now. The trans does not shift unless you drop it into 3 and then go back into D. I can shift this way everytime. other then the shifting and the lights staying on everything is great. It's a 528i 6 banger with auto trans 1998 model. THANKS for any help. [wave]

[:)] Thanks, I'll try it and see what happens. I bought this car two weeks ago and I love it. it's in great shape and all. I hope it is something simple.

Let me know if the battery disconnect works as I had the same lights come on in a 99Z3. Thought it might be a control modual, came on a week after I installed new brakes. Hate to do the battery disconnect as it screws up the radio, alarm etc. thanks

Did not do the batttery disconnect, About the time I was going to do it, the lights went out and everything was fine. They did come back on though when it rained and then went out when it was dry. It was a rainy day when I changed the tires, that tells me it is some kind of short or exposed wire. probably the latter since it is an older (1998) car.

if your car is has asc then you have a wheel speed sensor that has gone bad. If you car is has dsc then the control unit has gone out and is reading incorrect wheel speed readings. I'm sure that you know this but you can tell what you have by the button on the dash that says asc or dsc. let me know if this helps you out.
