B&B Just sound?

After reading many negative reviews on the B&B Twin tri-flow exhaust, it seems that maybe I made a bad choice. I have a lot of mods to my car, mostly increasing the power. (Did not want to mess with the handling, because it is already perfect) My first mod was the B&B about a year ago and to be honest I did not really feel any difference in the power. Of course the car is a lot faster after doing all the mods that I have done of the past 1 1/2. (check my profile) Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with B&B. Looks like I should chosen the AA Gen 3 catback system. Sometimes just changing the sound of a car can make one think the car is faster and in reality the performance has only change a small amount. I have not had the car dynoed. I feel the car is making approx. 310 at the flywheel. After having the exhaust for about 1 1/2 I'm getting sick of how loud it is. I'm thinking of putting my stock catback exhuast back on it and see what happens. I'm also afraid that will hurt the flow, because of the headers, AA track pipe, m50 manifold, and CAI that are on the car.

The difference between most aftermarket exhausts is sound, not power. If you think the B&B is too loud, the AA is probably going to be pretty close. The Supersprint is supposed to be quiet, but the rest, particularly B&B, UUC and AA, are on the loud side. There have been a few tests done over the years, and there may be a few hp. difference between exhausts, but nothing serious.

If you really want to know, dyno your car. It will also let you know how much (or how little) power the rest of your mods are making. AFAIK, a 70 hp. gain over stock from just a LTW flywheel, headers, intake, manifold, exhaust, and a track pipe instead of cats, sounds way too high. I would guess 270-280 bhp with those mods.

Well if you add everything up:
CAI: Approx. 8-12hp
Custom Software: 9-11hp
M50 manifold conversion: 15-20hp
tuned headers: 8-15hp
AA track pipe: 13hp
catback exhaust: 5-10
Equals - approx 58-81 gain. 298- 321hp at the crank.

I know this is going to sound goofy, but....

There have been some experiments done that have shown that the sum of the individual mods do not necessarily provide the total expected gain. It apparently is due to various interactions that limit the total return, and certain gains may have already been achieved, This seems to be especially true in the header/cat back/exhaust area.

Damn, that almost sounds like an SEC disclaimer.....
