Here is my 7.62 cents on the cars I drove last night.

760iL Wonderfully powerful. Although the ass-end on it is sort of bulbous, the car is a driving dream. I drive is an overrated, not-neccesary piece of garbage. Car is very sharp in the inside, and I would have a very hard time thinking of another automobile that has the ergonomics and basic overall ease of operation of this car. The rear end is still ugly though.

Z4 I have gained a lot more respect for the little car. They only had automatics, but even with the steptronic in sport mode, it was more than a pleasure to drive. Very good handling, minimal distractions in the interior, all round snotty little drivetrain. They could have put volume adjustments on the steering wheel as they do with the 3's and fiver. Again, the ass-end is bulbous and sticks up to high, but the car is quite the little roadster.

330ci Great power, and the interior is completely based around the driver as it should be. Again, they only had the steptronic, but it was a great car regardless. What else can I say, it's a baby M3.

325ix Great handling and feel for the road. Lacking much needed horsepower that the 330ci and Z4 supplied.

525i All breaks down to one statement. Great for a family, or old people. The car is a fine example of the beautiful styling found in the older 5ers, but it is simply just to much damn car for the engine.

540i Sport Wagon WOW!!! Holy balls Batman!! By far one of the most proportionate power of all the cars. Even as a wagon the 8 pulled it allong at a steady pace. I can tell you down right that it was up to 114MPH before the end of the onramp and I didn't even notice. One of the smoothest cars I have ever been in in my life. Some other guy in the Z4 was absolutely shocked when he got passed by the big wagon. It would be the perfect car for a speed freak with a couple of kidlets.

X5 Thank god this thing had the 8 in it. Once I got it to move it got along pretty well. I can not understand why they would even think about putting a smaller engine in this vehicle. The interior is laid out in a very orderly and worthwhile configuration giving the driver complete control of everything. Overall it is a very good example of what the luxury SUV is.

I also saw the new 5er. Although it is still ugly, it is not nearly as hideous as I thought it was going to be. Had it not been for the older M5 sitting next to it, I probably wouldn't have had a problem with it. The ass-end on that car is a lot more subtle than it appears in pictures and adds. I won't however beat around the bush about it being a complete disaster compared to the smooth styling of the older 5 series.

Z4s are ugly when dirty though. But their performance is very nice. I cannot live without the volume thingon the steering wheel. Z4's interior is not as good as the 3's though... but its a nice second car... wouldn't want it as a primary though.

I am surprized the dealer let you drive all these cars (for fun) without throwing you out since you wouldn't buy any of them. I wouldn't dare to ask them for a test drive since I am a teenager and they have a thing against us.

It was the Drive for a Cure breast cancer fundraiser thing. I din't even have to talk to a salesman the entire time I was there. Plus they had free food, and I got a free massage.[thumb]

The Z4 was the most fun to drive, with the 540 coming in a close second. I wish that they would have had an SMG out there. It would have benn a hell of a lot of fun to try one out. I have to say that I was amazed that the new 5er didn't look how I thought that it was going to. I thought for sure when I got there it was going to have horns, a spikey tail, and smeel like it appears.

Wadula, I'm sorry you missed out on the Drive for Cure in Houston. Each dealership, BMW North, Advantage and Momentum had the drives in early September........free food, t-shirts and all the cars you wanted to drive.[V]

Is the program over already or is there a chance one in New York is scedueled for later? Or is it only where you live? I didn't see any ads or anything like that on TV or radio, all they talked about is a test drive of a 325Xi or 330Xi, don't remember and that was to show off the all wheel drive capabilities.

They have it at every large BMW dealership in america. They start in Jersey and move west. The ones in NY are probably over. I haven't seen a commercial for it, I was contacted through the BMWCCA. They have it every year though. Next year they would have the new five series, and quite possibly the six if it comes out in time.

How much are you paying for membership. I only paid thirty some odd dollars¿ So far I have only had the car for about a month and it has already paid itself off 2x over.
