Once there was a happy car. She was affectionately known as the thunder chicken. She wasn't as new, or as shiny as all the new cars on the road, but she had what mattered; a strong inside and good character.
But life isn't always fair, and one day a mysterious bandit decided to crush her entire left side. Even the door post was bent, though she had never been anything but good to the world.
Her caretaker was astonished! Flabbergasted! Enraged! Who would do such a thing?!
Now, he was a very thoughtful fellow, and had to seriously weigh the option of retiring her. Perhaps another relative of hers would replace her? Or maybe an old van? But the more he thought, the more he disliked the idea of giving up so easily.
She had always done him well, and performed far beyond all expectations.
but he had found a band selling their old touring van for 900 dollars......should he buy it?!
NO! She never gave up, and neither will he!
375 dollars of parts and a long weekend later...............
including the finest locks offered by 21st century technology!!
