I've been perusing the other forums and have come across a very strange pattern. the E30 simply is the perfect BMW. I have electric Mirrors/Windows/roof central locking, engine management and all the electronics that the E36's have. however the only problem i have is that somtimes my car takes two attempts to lock. no big deal, I certanatly don't have engine problems and my gear box gets put into gear by me and stays there when i lift the clutch the car goes not waiting for it to decided it wants to!! The sound is nicer on my car than ,IMO, ANY production BMW today. (including the M3!) performance wise my car is just a shade slower than an E46 330cic (tried and tested ![[:D]](/images/smilies/biggrin.png "Big Grin [:D]")
) and im talking this guy was only a few tenths of seconds faster up to 110Mph (then aerodynaics take over) but i know when i put my foot to the floor or turn the steering wheel its ME doing the work not the little German computer with a naziesk, must control everything and do things MY way now, complex. Lovely. so it may not be as fast but it does mean that every movement every perfectly executed powerslide. everytime you out drag the audi TT thats been sitting on your back bumber for the last 3miles its all you. I think that they should take off all electonic aids loose some of the weight regain the dynamics of a light well tuned car and take the minor roads back from the farmers.

,or you can lower the compression and put some stronger bits in the engine and turbo it, and it could go faster than an E36 M3, depending on your boost.
