Hey guys, i had a quick question. I recently took the 2.5 X3 on a road test, and the dealer mentioned that the car was driving in rear wheel drive. When it senses slippery or harsh conditions, it goes into all wheel drive. But i was reading an article and it mentioned that the suv is a "full time" all wheel drive car. Can someone clear this up for me?

Your dealer is rite. The X3 will run rear wheel drive during normal condition to save you some gas etc. However, when the senser know they road condition is bad and it will swtich to all wheel drive automaticaly whitin a second which you don;t reall realize it.

I beleive that it is full time all wheel drive. There is a bias towards the rear wheels when conditions are normal, but the bias will change dependant on speed and conditions.
