My friend has an 1988 E30 325i then needs to have the brake master cylinder replaced. I came over to help him today and we installed the new master cylinder and filled it with new brake fluid yet there's no pressure when applying the brakes. We bleed the front brakes and it works fine but the rear won't bleed for some reason. We tried to pump out all the air out but still not working. Do you think there might be a clog in the lines or are we doing something wrong?

Thats a tough question because I don't know what methods you have applied.

The best way to bleed is to pump the brakes vigorously then open up the valve to bleed. But pumping the brakes in between each bleed helps loosen up air bubbles, before they are pushed out.

When bleeding you want to start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Then the second furthest etc.

Also before putting the master cylinder on the car, usually there is a process to pre-bleed it. Did you do this? They usually come with instructions to do so.

Hope this helps is some way.
