Hello I have a 99 523 and the brake pad warning light came on this morning. Do I have enough brake pad to get home which is about 90 miles away?[xx(]

I would expect so. The light comes on when the wear sensors are triggered, and they are designed to come on when there is still pad material.

You can check your pad status simply by looking at the pad as it sits in the caliper, and you should be able to see that through the wheels. If not, you can take the wheel off and check. I would expect that you have enough to last several hundred miles, if not more, but I obviously do not know for sure.

Oh yes you do...especially if you are going on the highway (I assume, coz' it's 90miles) you don't use much brakes.
I once asked my mechanic the same question, he says not to worry, when you run out, there is a warning sign...you will see sparks. [:D]
