Moving to Germany in a couple weeks. Anybody here have any experience buying an American-spec M3 while in Germany?

If so, tips and recommendations would be appreciated.

As of right now I can buy an M3 for $5k below retail from a company that caters to American servicemen but I've been told I might be able to do better from a regular German BMW dealer.

I am in germany now and that person is smoking crack. It is a hell of alot cheaper to buy from the American dealerships over here. Where are you coming to? I may be able to put you in touch with an A class sales center.

Are you Military? Check into the equivalent of Euro Delivery for service people. Someone was on the board earlier this year who did it, he was stationed in the Azores. I don't think he's been around for a while.

If he plans on returning to the US at some point and wants to keep the car, it must meet US specs.
