Has anyone used the California Dustbuster on their
cars? I wonder if it will scratch the clear coats
on my BMW since there is no water being used
like in washing a car.

Thanks in advane.

Two years ago I would have said "stay away from any dusters". Fast forward to today...I now own two of them. Quick story, I worked with a guy who had a black 2000 Corvette. Not one swirl mark or scratch! The car looked like it was straight off the lot. I figured he was just anal about waxing his car so I asked him how he was able to keep his car looking like that in the Vegas desert. He stated he used a "california car duster" and a solution that the dealers here in vegas use as a "Desert Protection Package". He buys a 5 gal container for 50.00 and applies it once a week.

Do not use it on a dirty car, use it on a dusty car. I have one and love it. When the car has been detailed and then sits the dust collects....this thing is great to wipe her down and then drive away!

Big Daddy hit the nail on the head:)
Great advise and just to add..., when usint it, be carefull and "Barely" touch the surface of the car. You don't want to rub the dust in, you want the duster to "pick it up" :)

I love mine. I have had it for a while and it works very well. No scratches but then I have a light-colored car. I haven't tried it on a dark car.

I wonder about one thing though--what picks up the dust? Is it a wax in the duster and if so will that interfere with applying polymers or other waxes? My friend is afraid to use in on black Mercedes for that reason, but I don't know if there is any reason for his concern.

Has anyone had wax marks off the Duster itself end up on the car? I just picked one up and the label says you may get paraffin wax marks on the car the first time it's used...but, apparently, these wiped off easily.
