I have found acouple of hardtops for my 2000 Z3(white) one was black and one was blue,,,, is it an option to have it painted or should I just be patient and wait for the matching white one to come along...
if you know of one... let me know...although some people say the no top look matches my bald head!!! [hihi]

Certainly it can be painted. Getting a nice match can be done at any high quality paint shop that has a color analyzer. They "image" the existing paint on the car with the analyzer, and it tells them the proper paint mix to match it, even if it is faded, etc.

The top is most likely aluminum (my 330 hardtop is), but as long as they don't take it down to bare metal before painting, this should be a no brainer for them.

hmmmm,
does anyone have any pictures of a white z3 with a miss matches top? ie steel gray or black to just a quick look at how it might look. the more I think about it, that is standard on all the Thunderbirds (newer) to have a black top?
thank and hope to hear more suggestions soon!
Tom
