I'm from europe, driving E39, 520/150hp, manual, straight six. 75k miles

Can you help me diagnose this problem. few days ago I was driving over speed bump, approaching slowly, shift into the second gear, slowly realising the clutch and pressing the throttle, then I heard some cranking sound from engine compartment, or maybe it was more like vavle sound but I can't describe it better then this.
After that I also noticed same sound, for a 1/2 of the second, when I start the engine(staring in neutral without presing the clutch)

Any idea what this could be ?

it was probably just too low of an rpm for the speed you were going, causing the vavles to rattle due to low oil pressure. i wouldn't worry about it too much just keep your rpms a little higher and see what that does. If it only does it in one certain driving condition stop driving like that.
