Hi People

I'm new to the Forum, I have a 540I 99 with the sports package and i'm having a electric problem

Every now and then , i cant start the car it seems like i dont have a battery, even the memory for the seat position and steering wheel are lost , clock is reset , I open the trunk to check if everything is fine , nothing is wrong with the cables, i go back to the car after trying couple times i comes back to life , engine starts and the problem wont hapeen for the next couple weeks.

The battery is ok , it was replaced 6 months ago.

I 'm also having a problem with the central locking fuse that keeps blowing.

Does anyone have a suggestion or have been trough the same situation?

As far as the car not starting, sounds like a loose body or engine ground. And as far as the blown fuse, when a fuse keeps blowing, it usually has something to do with a short to ground. But in this case, the locking motor could be sticking causing a current spike. Can't help much without actually seeing the car, sorry.
