Hi,

I'm having an issue with my 6 CD changer that I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on..

About a year ago I replaced my rear CD changer with a PhatNoise MP3 player and it was working great until my 2000 M Roadster battery died on me during the last couple of days.

Upon re-charging the battery, my "Business" radio asked for the security code, which I provided. Once the code was entered everything worked well except for my MP3 player. It just doesn't power up.

Just to try to rule out some kind of weird radio security issue I removed the radio fuses and re-connected my original 6 CD changer. I then waited about day for the radio to prompt me for the code again. I provided the code and still the radio does not power up the changer. I can't even eject the CD magazine.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

J

hooking up an MP3 player

Hi J-

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but I do have a question for you. Did you have someone install your MP3 player hook-up? I just got a 2004 Z4 and it only has a one-disk in-dash, and no Bluetooth. I'm wondering what to do about getting the car iPod compatible. Do you know where I may get some more info on that type of project?

Thanks,
Speedy Marie
