Driving to work today the check engine light came on related to emissions. Anyone know what this may be and what it would cost to fix? Thanks for any help.
Could be many things. Bad O2 sensors ($200 or so), failing catalytic convertor($500-$1500) - even a missing or loose gas cap can cause it. Take it to AutoZone, PEP Boys (or similar) and have them read the OBD codes. They usually do it for free.
Thanks guys for the quick replies. I will definately see if pepboys can read the codes first before i hit the stealership. By the way, i heard there may be an extended warrenty related to emissions??
