Chilton manuals for e30

Guys i just had to vent about how vague and utterly useless the chiltons manual is for my 318is . The book is for e30 and e36 's many models and seems to not be specific enough or show my model on certain repairs. I can see why the bently manuals are soo expensive . Because the alternative sucks...

Just had to rant about wasteing 18 bucks..

I have the chilton and the bentley i have seen no problem with the chilton manuel and i think it works well that is just from me tho and i havent had any real big problems

I haven't seen the Chilton's manual for the E30. I have both the Bentley and Haynes manual. The Bentley is definitely far superior to the Haynes manual. Luckily, the previous owner of my car gave me both when I bought it.

Chiltons are very basic, not very useful for in depth work... Mine for my Taurus has the wrong firing order for my SHO listed in it, as well as a maintenance schesule for changing the non existent supercharger oil...

first off, 1337 5p34k = t3h 5h!7. secondly, i have a bentley and a chilton. the chilton blows. you have to have SO much knowledge before opening it. bentley will walk you through everything. totally worth the 30 bucks.

Some of the bentley manuals are over $100. The 5-Series 97-02 manual on Amazon is $132 new although it looks like a two manual set. Still, that makes the old red pre-e36 ones a bargain at $35-40.
