I own '93 e34 525 24v (m50tu) BMW, and I like this car. Every now and then when I have time and money to spare I try to make it a little bit better. And curently I am considering an ECU upgrade.
I know there are a lot of information about this on the web, but it deals mostly with US bmw versions. Since I live in europe, Jim C's and other US market chips are of no use to me.
So- if anyone has experience / info on chips/chip manufacturers for european market bmw's, I would appreciate if you share it here. Thanks.

Hey Nefestus!

I know what you mean about the Ecu upgrade being a pain in the ass in Europe/SWA area. The problem is most of the stuff over here has to be TUV certified and if they dont approve then........you get the picture. Nevertheless there ARE place that do it. I dont know about Latvia but here in Germany there are a few places you can find but the want you to bring your car in and they are located nowhere near me...or you for that matter. Bottom line is there isnt a "easy" Ecu upgrade in Europe/SWA like JC's. Trust me I know it sucks!!!!!! [mad]

but that being said check out "Superchips" at: http://www.superchips.co.uk/car/frameset.htm

My local super-ultra-mega tuning dealer that specializes on chiptuning charges up to 1000 $ for their "services", which is way too much. I knew there are good chips at exactable price, so I searched the net. Jim C's chip dealers said they can not help me, however I was able to get in contact with Mark that makes EAT Ultrachips. Gave him my DME and chip numbers, and he said he provide a chip for me.
Does anyone have experience with Mark's chips? Fuel consumption, engine stress, performance in low/high RPM's?
