I was traveling in traffic doing about 40 in traffic and when it lighten up I would get the the accelerator a bit the clutch seemed to slip from about 2200 rpms to 3500, the car would pull through but definately there was slipage. It isn't really noticable slipage when excelerating in any other gear (including overdrive.)

What does it cost to rebuild or repalce the clutch?

A OEM clutch kit here in NZ is $250. Labour would prob be about 4 hours (could do it quicker, but I bet they won't.) So at around $60/hr that's $500 all up (NZ). I bet they'ed add some markup on the clutch though and sting you around $800 or more - In US$ divide roughly by two. A can of coke here is $1.20 and a big mac is $5 - there's an idea of the exchange rate.
