i think my clutch my be goin.. idk its havin a hard time passing 3k on third gear.. and i try not to floor it but im being forced to..im using premium gas cuz of the chip.. but i might take it out because the gas prices are goin up and my income is still down.. what would u guys recomend.. im gonna go get the clutch checked and see whats up i might just get a new clutch for now but i think im deff gonna sell it.. parts are too expensive..

ok i tried to punch it the whole way at a straight away .. first gear engages fine .. second goes in well.. i hit third and itr struggles to reach 3k.. its whining and u can feel the engine is reving up .. but the clutch isnt engagin well.. fourth is the same.. fifth gear is fine.. it never was like this b4 until i raced this kid and i kinda missed 4th gear by mistake ( the shift knob came loose) so i dont know what else to do what clutch should i get ) brands??

if its grinding goind into gear in first but not in others then its more likely your first gear synchros are jacked
beemere30, when your clutch goes out usually youl find that when you get on it your engine will rev way up but the car wont be moving along with it. if thats the case be careful with it, youll end up roasting the flywheel if you overheat it and youll have to have it resurfaced when you get a new clutch put in.

alright .. well the clutch deff seems to be goin.. all the stuff i posted here was just questions i had for a while but couldnt find a decent forum to find my answers.. hehe this forum rocks.. well i got the new alternator in.. but not my mechanic says that my gauges might be draining the battery..?? i dont get it its just indiglo gauges but well see im gettin a second opinion.. about the clutch as well.. i havent driven the car in a while but most of the mods ive done is just for looks .. it needed some updates.. the chip n the filter are the only performance mods ive made .. lol well well see what happens when i get the car checked out
