service indicator shows things all the time

The service indicator readout on my dash shows 'washer fluid out', 'brake light out', collant low, or something else ALL the time. The fact is the washer fluid tank is full, the brake lights work well and all other errors it shows are not true. I have checked each indicated item to make sure. If it were only 1 read out all the time, I would suspect a faulty sensor for that error. But there are too many all the time. Is there a central point for all those service indicator messages?

My question, [as you can imagine] is how can I get the problem message readout to perform correctly.

Thanks for any input. -Random_Access

Hi I'm am working on a 91 525 in the shop. it had a couple of lights coming on the cluster.
This is a quike fix to see if the cluster is the issue. Get access to the battery and remove the negative battery cable from the battery take the negative battery cable and touch it to the postive battery cable, what this does is it bleeds all of the voltage from the capistors in the contol units and reset the control units. this worked for me hope it works for you. let me know if you have any qustions are if it worked

[:0] this to me sounds as good as the other alternative : Fuel the car, put a cloth in the fueltank and light the cloth...
Never heared from this method and seems a bit dangerous to me...
