I don't like lowering the BMW. IT is not for me. I'd like to replace my old OEM springs (18 years old) with something a bit stiffer without loosing the height. Anyone have any recommendation?

so you want to keep the 4X4 look? I don't think you can get stiffer without lower. Tokico has springs that only lower it 1.25 inches. Not a whole lot.... and the sport shocks to go with it (the whole set) for 300 dollars. I got mine on ebay and what an amazing difference. Not a harsh ride either. Lifetime warrenty.

I can try to take some pics of the new hight if you'd like... it not all that much lower but i looks so much better than the 4X4 look.

[clap] [clap] [clap] Hehehe.... may be I should put a pair of solid axles and lockers on my bimmer [bash] [bash] [bash]

I will look into it. Have anyone use the M3 springs, are they stiffer than those on 325e? TIA.

haha there you go. Though it looks like a 4X4, it just might not have quite the clearance, haha.

Not sure about the m3 springs, sorry i can't help you there.

OEM M3 springs will lower a stock 325e or 325i about 1.5-2". The spring rate is higher and is the same spring rate used for the 325is. The ride is stiffer, but not enough to sacrifice ride quality. The match up pretty well with Bisltein Sports.

If you aren't looking to lower the car and want some good, high qulaity springs, pick up some H&R OE Sport springs. At most they'll lower you about 0.5", but that's really nothing to worry about. For some good shocks, I'd consider Bilstein sports, Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) and Koni single adjustables - rangining from cheapest to most expensive. Konis are my preference.

I have decided to get:

1. H&R Sport Spring Set (will this too harsh on the street?)
2. Koni adjsutable Sport Shocks (worth the money?)
